This is a series of oil paintings that I have completed of Ohura, an enchanting sleepy town off the Forgotten World Highway in the North island. The paintings start from the top of the main street with 'Forgotten Ohura' then 'Kallil Motors' followed by 'Weathered and worn' as you make your way down the street to finally 'On a forgotten street' at the bottom looking back up the deserted main street.
I found the place captivating and evocative with its serene quality lost in another time when it was once a busy rural town.
