The name above the shop front is barely visible under the weather beaten years of neglect and gives the only remaining clue to its former proud days as a garage servicing the local motor trade, in a once prosperous rural town. Now in its latest form as a second hand shop featuring forgotten curios of the past, it stands quietly unnoticed on the main street.
This the third in a series of paintings of Ohura a sleepy forgotten town off the World Forgotten Highway, between Taumarunui and Stratford in the North Island.
